Zahra Ratanshi is the Head of Human Resources for Mercantile & Maritime Group, where she oversees the Group’s global people strategy, organizational development, and HR operations across its trading, logistics, and terminal businesses. With over a decade of international HR leadership experience, Zahra combines strategic insight with hands-on execution to build high – performing, engaged, and agile teams that enable sustainable growth.
Before joining Mercantile & Maritime, Zahra served as Head of Human Resources at Oman Trading International (OTI), where she established and scaled the HR function during a period of rapid global expansion — growing the organization from 26 to over 180 employees across five countries. She successfully led the setup of new offices in Singapore, Shanghai, and the United States, introduced structured performance management and succession frameworks, and negotiated competitive global benefits that enhanced employee well-being and retention.
She is recognized for her ability to architect people-centric organizations, foster cross-cultural collaboration, and align HR transformation with business strategy. Zahra’s leadership is defined by her focus on capability development, operational excellence, and building inclusive, high-trust workplaces that support long-term enterprise value.
