Wladimir Shubaev is the Chief Financial Officer for Mercantile & Maritime Group, where he leads the Group’s global finance function, overseeing corporate finance, treasury, and strategic financial planning across trading, logistics, and infrastructure operations. With more than 15 years of international experience in the oil and gas sector, he combines financial discipline with commercial insight to drive growth, optimize capital structure, and strengthen governance across multiple jurisdictions.
Before joining Mercantile & Maritime, Wladimir served as CFO of Cetracore Energy GmbH in Vienna, where he managed group-wide financial strategy, debt restructuring, and loan syndications exceeding EUR 2 billion, while developing robust treasury and risk-management frameworks. Earlier, he held senior finance roles at Rosneft Oil Company and LUKOIL, focusing on project audits, reserve evaluation, and investment analysis across international upstream and downstream ventures.
He is recognized for structuring cross-border financial flows, leading large-scale financing programs, and building resilient financial systems that support strategic expansion while maintaining strict compliance and risk oversight.
Wladimitr holds a Diploma in World Economy from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), specializing in Economy and Finance in International Oil and Gas Business.
