Mercantile & Maritime boosts APAC trading presence with the appointment of Ben Waters as Head of Trading Asia Pacific

SINGAPORE, 12 September – The Mercantile & Maritime Group (“MM”) has today announced the appointment of Ben Waters as Head of Trading Asia Pacific.

Headquartered in Singapore, MM is an experienced frontier market operator, providing international clients with a full range of services across the oil & gas value chain. The appointment enhances MM’s presence, as the Group looks to increase its footprint across Asia Pacific which also includes maritime and storage operations.

Ben’s appointment was announced to the business earlier today by Chairman Simon Murray and CEO Murtaza Lakhani.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr Lakhani said: “We are excited to welcome Ben to the Company. His deep knowledge and experience in Asia pacific will be an invaluable asset to our operations, as we increase our presence and range of capabilities in the region to include trading, storage and blending.”

Ben joins the Company on 1^st October 2019.
